In order to ensure traffic safety and order, preserve urban beauty and environmental sanitation, and serve the travel needs of people on the occasion of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has just issued a notice on construction management on the roads.
Accordingly, from September 1 to September 2, all projects involving road and sidewalk excavation within the city’s road infrastructure will be temporarily suspended. This is a measure to ensure the safety of people traveling, while minimizing congestion and loss of aesthetics during the peak holiday days.
The Department of Construction requests investors of projects under construction to urgently urge construction units to speed up the progress of digging roads and sidewalks and complete the restoration of the site before August 31, 2025. This is to minimize the number of road sections being dug up, affecting traffic during the holidays.

For constructions with barriers occupying the road surface, the Department of Construction allows the construction site fence to be maintained, but the fence must be shortened, the construction area must be cleaned, ensuring that traffic is not obstructed, and that garbage and mud are not left behind, spoiling the urban beauty.
The Department of Construction emphasized that this is an important directive to serve people and tourists participating in festival activities, sightseeing, and entertainment during the National Day holiday. It is requested that investors, construction units, and local authorities closely coordinate in inspection, supervision, and timely handling of violations.
The temporary suspension of construction during the two holidays not only helps ensure traffic safety but also contributes to creating a green - clean - beautiful urban appearance, demonstrating the image of a civilized, friendly city, ready to welcome people and tourists on the occasion of the country's important anniversary.
