Recently, Quang Cong Minh Joint Stock Auction Company organized a public land auction in Quynh Hung commune (Quynh Luu district, Nghe An ), including 56 land lots in Dong Quan area, hamlet 5; the total starting value was up to nearly 60 billion VND.
After the auction ended, the value of 56 residential plots exceeded 85 billion VND.
Notably, out of the total 56 successfully auctioned land lots, Mr. Nguyen Van Trong (residing in Quynh Hung commune - currently an accounting officer in Quynh Ba commune, Quynh Luu district) won 23 land lots with a total value of up to 30 billion VND.
According to research, Mr. Nguyen Van Trong is the younger brother of Mr. Nguyen Van Quy - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district (Nghe An), the person who signed the approval of land prices of the 56 plots of land mentioned above.
Cancel the auction results of 23 land lots
On the afternoon of July 9, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Nguyen Van Trong, an official of Quynh Ba commune, confirmed that he was the person who won the auction of 23 residential land lots in Quynh Hung commune as reported.
Mr. Trong shared that on June 20, a public land auction took place at the People's Committee of Quynh Hung Commune, where he participated and won 23 lots of land. However, he recently received a notice that he violated auction regulations, so the results were canceled.
“When I received the notice, I went to buy the documents, paid the deposit but did not read the auction regulations. The auction was successful, but shortly after, I received a notice of cancellation of the results...” – Mr. Trong informed.
Mr. Trong also said that to win all 23 plots of land, on average, he spent 300 to 800 million VND more than the starting price for each plot. Specifically, on average, each plot of land has an area of 200 square meters, if the starting price is 1.3 billion VND, he bid up to 1.8 billion VND.
“I have a nephew who is a businessman and wants to buy the entire land. My wife and I are sick and can’t come back, so we asked him to buy the lots. If I authorize him, he can only participate in the auction for one lot, so I bid for all 23 lots,” said Mr. Trong.
According to Mr. Trong, he bid a high price to get an entire plot of land of more than 4,000 square meters. The purpose of auctioning this large plot of land was to do business...
Mr. Trong also admitted that he is the younger brother of Mr. Nguyen Van Quy - Vice Chairman of Quynh Luu District People's Committee.
“When it was revealed, I found out that my family members were not allowed to participate in the auction. If I had known from the beginning, I would not have participated. Now, when the results were canceled, the auction company promised to return the deposit at the beginning of the week,” he shared.
Sharing with reporters, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Ba Commune, Quynh Luu District said that Mr. Nguyen Van Trong (born in 1971) is currently an accounting officer, working at the People's Committee of the commune for about 10 years. Recently, the information about Mr. Nguyen Van Trong winning the auction of 23 land lots with a value of tens of billions of VND surprised many people.
A source said that on July 3, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district held a meeting after discovering violations in the land auction in Quynh Hung commune. On July 6, the district announced the cancellation of the auction results of the 23 land lots mentioned above.
