Equipping Vietnamese students with skills and knowledge to leverage artificial intelligence technology

On September 30, in Hanoi, Meta Group's Chairman of Global External Relations, Mr. Nick Clegg visited Hanoi National University and interacted and shared with students about the topic of the Future of Artificial Intelligence and Vietnam.

Through the event, the Chairman in charge of Global External Relations of Meta Group shared with students of Hanoi National University about the development trends of science and technology, especially artificial intelligence globally; the vision of a world-leading technology company like Meta as well as what the young generation can and needs to do to catch up with the opportunities brought by science and technology.

Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi Dao Thanh Truong expressed his appreciation for Mr. Nick Clegg's interest in Vietnam National University, Hanoi as well as for taking the time to share and interact with students.

The Deputy Director also shared his hope that Meta Group will jointly promote a number of projects on park construction and the establishment of a Technology Incubator in the urban space of Hanoi National University in Hoa Lac, in order to improve the quality of student life, promote scientific and technological potential as well as contribute to promoting the image of the group.

At the same time, we hope that Meta Group will continue to create conditions to expand this project, not only within the scope of Hanoi National University but also to other educational institutions across the country.

At the meeting, Sir Nick Clegg emphasized that artificial intelligence has been a fundamental component of Meta's technology for many years. We believe that open and responsible artificial intelligence will be the key to activating the spirit of innovation, contributing to economic growth. Therefore, we have cooperated closely with Hanoi National University to build a program to improve digital skills for students through training programs, courses and extracurricular activities.

This collaborative initiative has been a great success and Meta is ready to continue developing credit-granting courses on AI literacy that will equip Vietnamese students with the skills and knowledge to shape their future by leveraging AI technology.

Attending the program, many questions were discussed by students from the University of Natural Sciences and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) with Mr. Nick Clegg at the exchange session. The President of Global External Relations of Meta Group gave students advice on how to succeed in the field of information and communication technology, applying artificial intelligence in learning and scientific research.

Sir Nick Clegg believes that young people need to adapt quickly to the rapid changes in technology taking place in the world, which will be an opportunity for young people to develop themselves. “Always keep an open mind, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn” is the advice that Sir Nick Clegg sent to students of Hanoi National University in particular and young people in general.
