Pierrick (22 years old) said that his internship in Vietnam will end in just one month. "During my internship, I always received enthusiastic support from lecturers and students. This period of time not only helped me develop professional skills but also opened up many new opportunities, completely surpassing my initial expectations," he shared.
Find your own way to Vietnam for an internship among hundreds of options
Pierrick said that in January 2024, he proactively looked up information about universities in Asia on Google with the keywords "university" and "Electrical Engineering major", compared training strengths and finally chose IUH - Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry for the internship period from May 16 to September 26, 2025.
"I am really impressed with IUH's modern facilities and the very practical way of learning here. Students have access to real electric vehicles, robots, 3D printers and electrical laboratory systems like in a business environment for practice.
After carefully researching the information, I wrote to express my desire to participate in an internship at IUH. This is part of the requirements of the international training program I am studying," Pierrick shared.
Pierrick believes that his internship experience in Vietnam will enhance his academic profile and open up many career opportunities for him in the future.
“I was particularly interested in getting involved in a research project at the university, especially since I have experience in the field of industrial maintenance.
At that time, I was in a more specialized position in the electrical field. Therefore, I really wanted to expand and deepen my professional knowledge through an internship at IUH," he expressed.
In a letter of recommendation sent to IUH in January 2024, Professor Géraldine Poutot from CESI School of Engineering (Pau campus) said that Pierrick Garnier is currently studying at the school.
"Pierrick has always met the school's academic requirements well and is on track to complete his training program. To finish the current school year, he needs to complete an internship abroad lasting at least 12 weeks. Based on Pierrick's current academic direction, I boldly recommend him for an internship at IUH.
Pierrick is at an important stage in his academic and professional development journey. I believe that an internship at your school will not only help him complete his studies but also provide him with the opportunity to improve his English skills and gain valuable experience in an international environment," said Professor Poutot.

Impressed by the expertise and friendly learning environment
During his internship at IUH's electrical engineering department, Pierrick was involved in many specialized areas such as renewable energy, real-time electrical system simulation, building management systems and practical work at enterprises with direct guidance from MSc. Nguyen Hoai Phong and MSc. Trinh Huu Truong.
With a clear technical orientation, especially in the fields of electricity - electronics and industry, the internship at IUH is completely in line with the career goals Pierrick is pursuing.
Not only impressed with the expertise, Pierrick was also surprised by the friendliness and support from IUH lecturers and students. "I always received enthusiastic support from lecturers and students, while still being proactive in my work. This is truly an experience that far exceeded my initial expectations," he expressed.
MSc. Nguyen Hoai Phong - instructor - assessed Pierrick as a progressive, quick-witted student who proactively came up with many creative ideas, even though he worked in a completely new environment.
One thing that deeply resonates with Pierrick is the simple yet philosophical advice from his instructor: "If you want to do something, just do it, don't hesitate." According to Pierrick, this is a very different mindset compared to the learning environment in France, where young people sometimes hesitate because they are afraid of failure.
According to Dr. Le Ngoc Son - Director of the Institute of International and Postgraduate Training IUH, every year the school organizes support services for international students to study at the school in student exchange projects.
Garnier Pierrick is a very special student who researched information about IUH online and proactively contacted the school to get instructions on how to apply for an internship very early. This student participated in the internship program and did a project at the IUH laboratory.
IUH will confirm and evaluate the results after the student completes the internship period.
