The 2024-2025 school year marks a significant milestone as the Education and Training sector of the former Vinh Yen city (now Vinh Phuc and Vinh Yen wards) continues to affirm its pioneering position, maintaining the top spot in the province for six consecutive years in terms of teaching and learning quality. This achievement is the culmination of the efforts of the teaching staff and students, along with the support and cooperation of the local Party committee, government, and people.
The overall quality of education has been maintained stably, with 100% of 5-year-old children attending school, universal primary education at the appropriate age, and lower secondary education reaching level 3; literacy programs have reached level 2 – the highest level. The percentage of 5th-grade students completing the primary education program is 100%, and the percentage of 9th-grade students receiving lower secondary education graduation certification is 95.3%.

The 2024-2025 high school entrance exam continued to affirm the quality of incoming students, with 189 out of 490 candidates from Vinh Yen City successfully admitted to Vinh Phuc Specialized High School (accounting for 42.6%). Notably, students from the city achieved 6 top positions in Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Literature, and French, and 7 second-place positions in various other subjects. In addition, 7 students were admitted to the high school programs of universities.
For non-specialized high schools, Vinh Yen continues to lead the province in average scores across three subjects in the 10th grade entrance exam. 100% of junior high schools are in the top 100 in the province, with 8 out of 9 schools improving their rankings compared to the previous academic year. Cultural, artistic, and sports activities are maintained and widely promoted, contributing to the development of skills and character building in students.
Infrastructure and teaching equipment continue to receive investment. Schools are fully equipped with the minimum teaching equipment for preschool, primary, and secondary levels; libraries, laboratories, and sports equipment are added, creating an increasingly modern learning environment.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam – Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Ward – highly appreciated the efforts of the local education sector. Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam emphasized: To successfully implement the tasks of the 2025-2026 school year, schools need to carefully prepare all conditions, including the nationwide online opening ceremony on September 5th.
At the same time, it is necessary to comprehensively implement Resolution No. 71 dated August 22, 2025, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of education and training, deeply understanding the viewpoint that "education is a top national priority." The ward's education sector must proactively innovate school management, promptly advise the Party Committee and the government to find solutions appropriate to the reality. Along with that, it is essential to build a team of teachers with the qualities and capabilities to meet the demands of the task; and strengthen training and professional development to meet the requirements of innovation.

The conference also acknowledged the important role of coordination between family, school, and society in educating the younger generation. On this occasion, the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Ward awarded Certificates of Commendation to many collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the past school year.
Building upon the achievements of the former Vinh Yen city, in this new development phase, the education sector of Vinh Phuc ward aims to be the leading ward among the 15 wards of Phu Tho province, and for junior high school graduates to be able to communicate in English, as set forth in the Resolution of the ward's delegate congress for the 2025-2030 term.
