Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang attended and presented the Special Prize. Also attending and presenting the prize were representatives of the Vietnam Journalists Association , the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Government Electronic Information Portal, central press agencies and leaders of the Ministry of Finance.
This is the 9th time the contest has been held since 2006. The National Journalism Award on the Finance sector is a practical activity to encourage and motivate reporters and editors to provide timely information on the economic and financial policies of the Party and State as well as the activities of the Finance sector. Thereby, the contest contributes to clarifying the historical milestones of the 80 years of establishment and development of the sector, while emphasizing the important role of the Finance sector in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest sent his congratulations to the journalists and authors who won the prizes. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Finance sector has spent 80 years accompanying the development of the country. During that journey, the companionship and contribution of the press has always played an important role, helping to disseminate policies and spread the image of an innovative, dynamic and developing Finance sector.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's award continues to have many new features when expanding the types of competition with 4 types of press: print, electronic, radio and television. The number of entries increased sharply, with more than 2,700 works from press agencies nationwide, demonstrating the wide reach of the award. The participating works are diverse in genre, rich in topics, closely following reality and current economic and financial issues.

After 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Jury selected outstanding works to award prizes. The Special Prize was awarded to the group of authors Cao Thi Thanh Tra and Vu Van Nhat (Vietnam Television News Department) with the series of television reports "Insurance industry strives to support and compensate customers affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi)" broadcast on VTV1 channel. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 4 A prizes, 20 B prizes, 28 C prizes for outstanding works. There were 9 press agencies (including the Government E-newspaper) with outstanding achievements in propaganda work on the Finance sector that were also awarded Certificates of Merit by the Minister of Finance.

The Awards Council assessed that the contest has affirmed the results and achievements in financial and budgetary work, contributing to spreading the image of a dynamic and modern financial sector. The contest has also become an active bridge between the press and the financial sector, encouraging reporters and editors to stick together and work together in information and propaganda work.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi officially launched the "10th National Press Award on Finance - 2027", commemorating the 82nd anniversary of the Finance Sector's Traditional Day. The Organizing Committee hopes to continue to receive support from the press so that the award can spread widely, contributing to honoring the Finance sector, while affirming the important role of the press in policy communication.
