After 7 seasons, Top 10 Awards has become a landmark in the architectural and interior design profession with more than 1,000 participating works from more than 700 design units nationwide.

In 2024, the award recognized 349 entries across 3 categories: Housing, Interior and Green Building - reflecting the richness of design language and the strong spread of creative and sustainable thinking in the architectural and design community.

Not only honoring beauty, the Top 10 Awards is also a forum for architecture to tell stories about people, culture, living environment and responsibility for the future. Within the framework of the program, from now until May 18, there will be a series of diverse activities such as exchanges with award-winning architects, talk shows, exhibitions, performances of traditional handicrafts and creative workshops with recycled materials.

Architect Hoang Thuc Hao, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Architects, Head of the Jury for the Top 10 Houses category, commented: "The highlight of the projects participating in the Housing category this year is the flexibility and creativity in design. Many projects have cleverly incorporated solutions such as: expanding the porch, creating an inner courtyard, bringing trees to the upper floors to help erase the feeling of crampedness and reduce the pressure of the urban environment.

At the same time, the use of indigenous, rustic materials not only honors cultural values but also creates a harmonious connection between people and living space. These factors have helped this year's works become different, rich in identity and have high practical value."

The exhibition is a public art work designed from recycled materials, handmade do paper and modern steel structure.

“We saw many interesting combinations of technology and materials in this year’s Top 10 Awards, especially the rise of passive design solutions – a very encouraging trend. The projects have effectively utilized traditional materials to control microclimate, such as thatched roofs, urban green roofs, or bamboo applications in facade design to reduce heat and improve sustainability,” added Douglas Lee Snyder, head of the Top 10 Green Projects jury.

Accompanying the awards ceremony was the launch of the Top 10 Pavilion 2024 exhibition, with a dome made from dó paper – a traditional Vietnamese craft material, symbolizing the rustic beauty and durability of memories. The folds on the paper carry the story of the earth and the hands of the craftsman. Interwoven on the dó paper are layers of recycled plastic, expressing the desire to regenerate old materials in a world that is changing for the environment.

Sharing the message of the exhibition, architect Vuong Dao Hoang, Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: “Materials that were once discarded, when reborn, are no longer waste but become materials for contemplation. It contains a spirit of urgency: that we need to face the consequences of our consumerist lifestyle and proactively seek more sustainable directions for the living environment."

On this occasion, Mr. Vuong Dao Hoang also represented the Organizing Committee to officially launch the Top 10 Awards 2025.

Top 10 Awards is an annual award to find typical trends in the architecture, interior and green building industry in Vietnam, initiated by Kienviet Media since 2018 and professionally sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Architects, Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), Vietnam Furniture Association (VNIA) and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM).

The award aims to honor outstanding authors and works, highlight aesthetic and creative values, promote the development of the Architecture-Interior-Green Building design industry in particular, the Vietnamese cultural and creative industry in general, and increase the value of Vietnamese creative products in the international market.
