Implementing the national action program for children for the period 2025 - 2030

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Plan to implement the national action program for children in the period 2025 - 2030. The general goal is to ensure the implementation of children's rights, comprehensively develop children to meet the requirements of building quality human resources for socio-economic development and international integration; create a safe living environment; provide timely assistance to children in special circumstances, victims of violence and abuse; improve the quality of life and create equal development opportunities for all children.

The plan sets out four specific goals: Comprehensive development, health care, nutrition for children; child protection; education , culture, recreation, entertainment for children; children's participation in children's issues. The targets to be achieved by 2030 are: 75% of communes, wards, and special zones meet child-friendly standards; 95% of children under 8 years old have access to comprehensive care and development services; the rate of children under 5 years old with height malnutrition is under 8% and 98% of children under 5 years old are fully vaccinated; strive to reduce the rate of children in special circumstances to below 2%, reduce the rate of child abuse to below 3.5% and 100% of children affected by natural disasters and catastrophes receive timely support; 99.7% of children complete primary school, 99% complete secondary school; 96.5% of schools have psychological support services and 45% of communes and wards have playgrounds for children...

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to preside over the implementation and coordination with departments, branches and localities to carry out the goals and targets of the plan; integrate into the annual socio -economic development program; at the same time, promote communication, mobilize social resources and strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of children's rights.
