This is the first year the GrabScholar scholarship program has been implemented in Vietnam, with the support of the GrabForGood Foundation. GrabScholar aims to help reduce the burden of education costs for families, while also motivating students to persevere and overcome difficulties, thereby conquering knowledge and seizing future opportunities. The program is implemented in collaboration with VietHope, an education social enterprise.

Mr. Ma Tuan Trong, Managing Director of Grab Vietnam shared: “In addition to providing livelihood opportunities from digital platforms, we believe that education is an important key to creating momentum for socio -economic progress. The GrabScholar2025 program is our way of accompanying and supporting students nationwide to access better learning opportunities, helping them confidently pursue their dreams, and preparing a solid foundation for future development. This is also a way for Grab to contribute practically to creating positive and broader changes in the Grab partner community in particular and the Vietnamese people in general.”
The GrabScholar 2025 program is for Vietnamese students, including 2 categories:
The first is a Full Scholarship for new university students in the 2025-2026 school year with 6 scholarships. The form of support includes: Full tuition for 4 years of study; Living allowance of 3,450,000 VND/month (10 months/year), within 4 years, Education Support program from VietHope. Support recipients: Scholarships for Vietnamese students with a progressive spirit, good academic performance and commitment to pursuing university. Only applicable for admission to first-year students of domestic public universities.
The second is the study support for students from primary to high school with the number: 300 places/year. The form of support includes support for the cost of books, learning tools and other essentials worth 1,000,000 VND/place for the new school year. The beneficiaries are primary and middle school/high school students living and studying in Vietnam, with good academic and competitive achievements, priority is given to families with difficult circumstances in need of study support.
Application deadline is September 15, 2025.
Under the Grab for Good Fund, GrabScholar has been rolled out in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. In 2024, 1,700 students in these countries received support from the program. This year, the program has been expanded to Vietnam and Thailand.
