Deploying Party building tasks in 2024

This morning, December 28, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai chaired a national online conference to review the Party building work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024. Attending the conference at the Quang Tri bridge point were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission.

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Truong Thi Mai affirmed that over the past year, Party committees and organizations at all levels have made great efforts and determination, upholding the spirit of responsibility in leading, directing, and organizing the strict and effective implementation of Party building work. These results have contributed to ensuring the Party's leadership and direction in Party building work, contributing to building a clean and strong Party building organization, and consolidating the people's trust in the Party.

Regarding the key tasks in 2024, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Truong Thi Mai suggested that the Party building organization sector needs to continue to thoroughly and fully grasp and strictly implement the Party's resolutions and policies on Party building organization work.

At the same time, the sector is required to advise on the effective implementation of resolutions, conclusions and regulations of the Central Executive Committee, Politburo and Secretariat on personnel work; complete, amend and supplement Party documents on personnel work to meet the requirements of the new period.

Continue to implement training and fostering work and implement policies and regimes for cadres to ensure quality and compliance with regulations. Pay attention to doing a good job of building and consolidating grassroots party organizations, improving capacity and fighting strength in a practical direction, building a clean and strong Party.

Regarding the work of developing party members, it is recommended that some localities facing difficulties should calculate, set realistic goals and make efforts to achieve the best results. Note that developing party members must be associated with quality. It is recommended to continue to innovate working styles and methods to further improve the effectiveness of Party organization and building.

The report at the conference stated that in 2023, the Party building organization sector made many efforts to advise on the successful completion of assigned tasks. It focused on advising, improving the quality, ensuring the progress of projects and tasks submitted to Party committees at all levels; basically completing 21 projects (100%) according to the programs and work plans of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Central Organizing Committee. Proactively advising on the preparation for the 14th National Party Congress... The Politburo continued to pay attention to and attach importance to personnel work, directing the completion of institutions in conjunction with the effective implementation of the conclusions of the 4th Central Conference of the 13th tenure, ensuring the principle of democratic centralism, tightening discipline and order...

The organization of the political system continues to be innovated and built towards streamlining, effective and efficient operations, streamlining the payroll associated with restructuring and improving the quality of the contingent of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the political system.

The work of assessing, verifying, and reviewing information related to personnel, especially the political standards of cadres, is conducted strictly, carefully, and objectively. The conference focused on clarifying the limitations, shortcomings, and lessons learned, and proposed 9 groups of key directions and tasks for the Party building organization to focus on implementing in 2024. In particular, it focused on advising on the development and implementation of the 2024 work program to ensure progress and quality in conjunction with the preparation of Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

At the same time, continue to effectively implement the resolutions and conclusions of the 13th Central Executive Committee on Party building and organization. Implement innovation in the Party's leadership and governance methods; organize the apparatus, payroll and job positions. Advise on the synchronous and close implementation of all stages in personnel work.
