Deploying the allocation of over 1,395 tons of national reserve salt to people affected by natural disasters and epidemics

On November 11, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province chaired a meeting related to the allocation of salt reserves to people affected by natural disasters and epidemics. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Agriculture and Environment, Finance, Regional Reserve Sub-Department V and related units.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired work related to the allocation of salt reserves to people affected by natural disasters and epidemics.

Pursuant to Decision No. 696/QD-CDT dated November 6, 2025 of the Director of the State Reserve Department on the export of national reserve salt to the People's Committee of Son La province. Accordingly, the State Reserve Sub-Department of Region V will export over 1,395 tons of national reserve salt to the People's Committee of Son La province to support people affected by natural disasters and epidemics. The delivery process will be carried out at the national reserve warehouse door, by means of transport arranged by Son La province, from November 6 to November 30, 2025.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions to organize the distribution of reserve salt to people affected by natural disasters and epidemics as soon as possible by mobilizing vehicles and human resources of the Provincial Military Command to support transportation; mobilizing necessary human resources and machinery to package and load salt at the warehouse, to best serve the transportation process.

Comrade Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Dang Ngoc Hau requested departments and branches to coordinate in reviewing and making a list of households and people eligible for allocation of reserve salt to people affected by natural disasters and epidemics. At the same time, advise and submit to the People's Committee a draft decision on allocation, ensuring timely and appropriate distribution. The Provincial Military Command proposed to Military Region II to support means of transporting reserve salt to people affected by natural disasters and epidemics in the province starting from November 17. The Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions is assigned to be the focal point for receiving salt at the delivery warehouse, with a plan to receive and preserve salt to ensure hygiene and quality, striving to complete the allocation before November 30.
