On the afternoon of April 18, in the capital Vientiane, Laos, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in coordination with the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos held the opening ceremony of an exhibition introducing 100 artistic photos on the theme of Vietnam's seas and islands, titled "The Fatherland on the Shore of Waves".

Attending the event were representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, representatives of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, representatives of agencies affiliated with the Vietnamese Embassy, the Vietnamese Association in the capital Vientiane, along with a large number of people, students of Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School and students of the Lao National Academy of Fine Arts.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Dong - President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, said that the Organizing Committee has brought to the exhibition 100 works selected from the art photography contest on the theme of Vietnam's seas and islands with the name "Fatherland on the shore of the waves". The works not only introduce and promote the potential and beauty of Vietnam's seas and islands, the love for the homeland, the beauty of nature and people of Vietnam's seas and islands to a large audience of art lovers, but also have profound significance in the life and society of the Vietnamese community in Laos and the Lao people.
Coming to the exhibition, viewers will see the potential, majestic and poetic beauty of the country's nature, the harmonious, sincere, heroic and resilient living space of the people across the seas and islands of the Fatherland of Vietnam as well as images of exploiting and developing the potential of Vietnam's sea tourism ... through which will create a strong impression, positive emotions about love for Vietnam's seas and islands.

Evaluating the exhibition, Mr. Khamsouk Keovongsay - Director of the Lao National Academy of Fine Arts, said that Laos and Vietnam are two neighboring countries, with mountains and rivers connecting them from North to South. There is a special solidarity and good brotherly friendship between the people of the two countries, which has always been cultivated by the leaders of the two countries. The great relationship between the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples has become a valuable asset of the people of the two countries. In particular, cooperation between Laos and Vietnam in the field of culture and arts has always been effectively promoted, making many positive contributions to fostering the special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam.
The Director of the Lao National Academy of Fine Arts said that Laos is a landlocked country, so this photo exhibition will help viewers truly feel the vibrant cultural features of the Vietnamese people in coastal areas and the majesty of Vietnam's seas and islands. This is also a meaningful activity that contributes to enhancing cultural and artistic exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, enhancing mutual understanding between the coordinating organizations.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Exhibition is expected to display 100 photographic works at the two headquarters of the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos until May 15. After the exhibition in the capital Vientiane, the above photographic works will be displayed by the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos in other localities of Laos under permitted conditions and time.
