Photo exhibition on Dong Thap's socio-economic achievements in 50 years of construction and development

DTO - On the morning of April 30, at Van Mieu Park (Ward 1, Cao Lanh City), the Provincial Literature and Arts Association in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition with the theme "Dong Thap's socio -economic achievements in 50 years of construction and development".

Attending the event were comrade Pham Viet Cong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; along with representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Provincial Literature and Arts Association, Dong Thap Newspaper and members of the Provincial Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Fine Arts Association.

The photo exhibition is held at Van Mieu Park until May 4, 2025, with 200 photos selected from the archives of photographers during the resistance war, members of the Photography Association and the Provincial Museum. The photos are divided into many periods from 1975 to 2025, reflecting the early days of liberation, the lives of Dong Thap people in the new period; the process of economic and infrastructure recovery, construction of key projects in the period of innovation and integration, agricultural development, industrial zones, changes in planning, development orientation, and expansion of exchanges of the province. Along with that are images of the cultural beauty, nature, people of Dong Thap, cultural events, traditional festivals...

Delegates view photo exhibition

The photo exhibition aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Dong Thap province. At the same time, it is an opportunity to look back on the heroic history of the nation, to commemorate the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers who fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, thereby honoring the great achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Thap have achieved in 50 years of construction and development. In addition, the photo exhibition is also a political and ideological activity, contributing to educating the tradition of patriotism, arousing national pride and encouraging the spirit of solidarity and creativity in the entire Party and people.
