From the first “pages of books” on bamboo cards to the Typo printer and now digital reading devices - the Exhibition of Achievements in the Publishing, Printing and Distribution Industry, which opened on August 28, outlined the direct contributions of the industry to the country's socio-economic development, elevating Vietnamese culture in the new era.
According to Mr. Nguyen Nguyen, Director of the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution, the exhibition space has a total area of over 500m2 divided into two areas: an area for displaying books and valuable artifacts and documents, and an area for selling books to serve all classes of people.
The exhibition area is inspired by the gate of time and the revolutionary boat overcoming storms and rapids to gain independence for the Fatherland, happiness for the people, bringing our nation into a new era. An era of wealth, prosperity and happiness as General Secretary To Lam directed.

Right at the entrance to the exhibition space is an 80-year model built using the Complete Party Documents. This is one of the outstanding achievements of the publishing industry, directly contributing to the Party's theoretical work.
The main space features a large screen showing documentary films about the glorious history of the publishing industry and its major achievements and directions in the new era.
At this exhibition, the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution also cooperated with the National Library of Vietnam to introduce to the public valuable documents and original artifacts, which are books and printed pages published and printed during the historic autumn days of 1945 and in the Viet Bac resistance base during the fiery years of the resistance war against France.

The exhibition area has nearly 1,000 books on topics: Political theory books, science and technology books, innovation books; cultural books, literature and art books...
The highlight here is the Typo printer that the General Confederation of Labor gave to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 1966, then donated to the Liberation Trade Union and transferred to War Zone D to organize the printing of documents serving the resistance war for national liberation. After traveling thousands of kilometers across the fiery Truong Son Mountains, in the midst of fierce battlefields, the printer was used by printers who were soldiers of the Liberation Army to print hundreds of thousands of pages of documents serving the revolutionary cause until the day of total victory.
In addition to printed books, at the exhibition space, the publishing industry also brings readers to visit and directly experience thousands of e-books with diverse formats, including audiobooks that are loved by young readers.
Next to the exhibition space introducing the achievements of the industry is the Book Sales Area serving a large number of readers visiting on an area of nearly 400m2 with the participation of 7 major and typical publishers and prestigious distribution brands. The books sold at the Exhibition ensure full legal requirements, have good content and no political or ideological violations.
All books on display have been listed and printed into leaflets for delegates to easily search and order.
The Exhibition of Achievements in the Publishing, Printing and Distribution Industry is open until September 5 within the framework of the Exhibition of National Achievements, Dong Anh, Hanoi./.
