On June 12, 2025, at the 9th Session, the 15th National Assembly voted to pass Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units. Accordingly, since the Resolution took effect, the country has 34 provincial-level administrative units, including 28 provinces and 6 cities.
The decision to “rearrange the country” - reducing from 63 to 34 provinces and cities - is a historic step of strategic significance, marking a new stage of development in the process of perfecting the state administrative apparatus, perfecting the institutions and organization of the political system to be synchronous, streamlined, effective, and efficient, towards a modern, close-to-the-people, people-serving, and people-oriented administrative system, so that all benefits belong to the people.
In the context of integration and constant change, with the deep awareness that "Country is homeland", love for the country is not only a personal feeling but also a sacred responsibility of each citizen for the development and future of the nation.
