Authorities have busted a ring that bought and sold cheating devices such as cameras, headphones, watches, pens, USBs, baseball caps, buttons, etc.

On August 4, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention ( Ministry of Public Security ) said that it had coordinated with a number of professional units, Hanoi City Police, and Hanoi Market Management Force to catch Tran Van Tien (in Vinh Yen City, Vinh Phuc) in the act of selling GPS devices disguised as USBs to customers.
Authorities discovered and seized at Tien’s residence hundreds of recording, video recording, and positioning devices disguised as tissue boxes, watches, pens, USBs, baseball caps, buttons, etc. Some of these recording and video recording devices were advertised for sale under the name “exam tools” to serve buyers who intended to cheat in exams. Tien and related people posted information about the purchase and sale of the above devices on many websites.
These people confessed to selling more than 100 devices such as cameras and headphones that were cleverly disguised to cheat on exams. At the time of inspection, the subjects could not present licenses or invoices proving the origin of the above recording devices.
