Legal aid activities play a role as a bridge between law and life, between legal regulations and the need to protect the legitimate rights of the people and those who are eligible for legal aid. At the grassroots level, where most civil disputes, conflicts and conflicts of interest arise, legal aid becomes a practical support channel, helping people access the law quickly and effectively.
In recent times, legal aid work in Ha Tinh has been carried out in a favorable context, creating an important foundation to expand the scope, improve service quality and better meet people's needs.
With the attention and close direction of the Ministry of Justice , directly by the Department of Legal Education and Dissemination and Legal Aid, as the central state management agency, providing specific and timely guidance, it has helped localities proactively implement tasks in a unified manner. The close and synchronous coordination between departments, branches, organizations and authorities at all levels has contributed to the formation of a widespread legal aid network, ensuring information connection, resource sharing, and timely support for people, especially vulnerable groups.
In addition, the Department of Justice's determination to innovate, the support, trust and positive response from the people have created a strong driving force for legal aid activities to be effective. These favorable conditions have helped Ha Tinh legal aid to have a clear change, quickly adapt to the requirements of reform, modernization of judicial activities and the trend of digital transformation, contributing to enhancing the position of legal aid activities in social life.
During the period of 2020 - 2025, under the direction of the Department of Justice of Ha Tinh province, the State Legal Aid Center of Ha Tinh province organized more than 800 legal communication sessions, consulted on over 1,500 cases, distributed 350,000 documents for free, maintained a 24/7 hotline, produced radio programs, posted information on legal aid providers; participated in more than 1,300 litigation cases, achieved 100% of the target and many cases successfully protected the legitimate rights of the people.
The team of legal assistants and contract lawyers proactively apply technology, exploit social networks such as Zalo, Facebook... to disseminate laws visually, easily accessible, demonstrating flexibility and creativity. The application of information technology to electronic records management, hotline consultation, and legal communication on social networks has contributed to improving service quality and expanding access to remote areas.
Many effective legal aid models have been built and replicated, typically "Legal aid accompanies mediation at the grassroots level" - integrating legal advice into mediation activities, promptly detecting and resolving conflicts, minimizing disputes that must be brought to litigation; the model "Communication on legal aid and legal advice" organized directly at the grassroots level, combining consultation, dissemination of law, distribution of documents and answering questions for people.
With the motto of "going to the place - consulting to the people - disseminating enthusiastically", legal aid activities have truly brought the law closer to the people, especially the disadvantaged groups, contributing to raising legal awareness, ensuring equal access to justice, strengthening people's trust in the government and the legal system, and affirming the indispensable role of legal aid in building a socialist rule of law state.
