Planting 1,000 Bauhinia trees at many relics associated with Dien Bien Phu

Within the framework of the project “Greening the Future”, 1,000 Bauhinia trees were planted at historical sites: Hill A1, Him Lam Hill and De Castries Tunnel.

This is an event organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province and Vietravel Company to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The organizers said that the Ban flower was chosen to be planted in this special project because the Ban flower tree not only has the pure beauty of the mountains and forests but also carries within it a legendary and historical story, associated with the time of the Ban flower festival and the important milestone of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Currently, the Ban flower has become a typical flower, a symbol of the people, culture and tourism of Dien Bien province.

The "Greening the Future" project is divided into 2 phases and will be completed in 2024 with the desire to contribute a small part to greening - protecting the environment, preserving the historical relics of the heroic Dien Bien land, close to nature and green. After being deployed in Dien Bien, this project will continue to be deployed in many tourist destinations across the country, thereby spreading to the community the inspiration to protect the environment together, so that the next generations always have a green and sustainable travel journey. This is also the program responding to the National Tourism Year of Dien Bien 2024 "Glory of Dien Bien Phu - Endless experiences".
