Hai Phong City Journalists Association in collaboration with Hai Phong Press Photo Club organized a photo exhibition event on the theme "Hai Phong with Truong Sa - Truong Sa with Hai Phong".
Delegates performed the ribbon cutting ceremony to open the Photo Exhibition.
This is a meaningful activity in response to the Photo Contest "Fatherland on the Shore", aiming to celebrate the 76th anniversary of Uncle Ho's Call for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2024), and the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024).
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tu - Permanent Vice President of Hai Phong City Journalists Association said that in 2024, Hai Phong Journalists Association organized photo composition on the theme "Hai Phong with Truong Sa - Truong Sa with Hai Phong" to participate in the photo exhibition "Fatherland on the shore of the waves". The Association sent 5 members of the Press Photo Club to Truong Sa to continue to penetrate the reality and compose many valuable photos.
200 photos on the theme "Hai Phong with Truong Sa - Truong Sa with Hai Phong" were displayed at the event.
With 200 photos selected from thousands of photos taken by members of the Press Photo Club returning from Truong Sa, the Organizing Committee has selected 80 photos to frame and more than 100 photos on large-sized billboards to express the affection of the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Phong City for the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district and DK Platform.
The photo exhibition is also an opportunity to arouse patriotism, national pride, awareness of protecting the sovereignty and sacred territorial integrity of the Fatherland; encourage the spirit of creating press works on the sovereignty of the homeland's sea and islands, creating a healthy and useful "playground" for journalists and photographers of the Port City.
