
Previously, the patient had chest pain, difficulty breathing, sweating and was taken to the Thuyen Chai Island infirmary (Truong Sa special zone) for emergency treatment. Doctors and nurses quickly stabilized the patient and connected to the 175 Military Hospital for emergency remote consultation.
The consultation results determined that the patient had an acute myocardial infarction, accompanied by hypertension and type 2 diabetes, with a severe prognosis, at risk of arrhythmia, cardiogenic shock and sudden death, requiring emergency transport to the mainland for treatment.
Complying with the order of the Ministry of National Defense , the 18th Army Corps mobilized the helicopter flight team and the Air Rescue Team of Military Hospital 175, led by Major, Master, Doctor, First Class Dinh Van Hong, to depart from Tan Son Nhat Airport at 4:30 p.m. on October 14.

Despite the harsh night flight conditions, with close coordination between the flight crew and the medical team, the flight was completed safely, bringing the patient to Military Hospital 175 in time.
By the morning of October 15, the patient had two coronary stents placed and his health gradually stabilized.
