Traffic police lieutenant colonel died on duty in Khanh Hoa

On the evening of May 27, a VietNamNet source reported that a traffic police officer working at the Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station, under the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department, died while on duty. Currently, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department and related units, along with the family, are arranging the funeral for the deceased, the source said.

Earlier, at noon the same day, Lieutenant Colonel P. (40 years old) was on duty on National Highway 1, passing through Ninh Ich Commune, near Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station (Ninh Hoa Town). Suddenly, a young man riding a motorbike at high speed hit Mr. P. who was on duty. The accident injured Mr. P.

The male traffic police officer was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to severe injuries, the traffic police lieutenant colonel did not survive.

After the incident, the motorcyclist involved in the accident was also injured and taken to the hospital. This person tested negative for alcohol and drugs.

Police are investigating to clarify the cause.

Body of missing traffic police lieutenant found while patrolling the Red River

The forces have found the body of Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Tung - an officer of the Waterway Traffic Police Team No. 1 ( Hanoi City Police). Mr. Tung went missing while on duty on the Red River 2 days ago.

Traffic police patrolled and handled a group of bicycles going on the wrong side of the road and running red lights.

Through patrolling and controlling, the traffic police force in Binh Duong discovered and handled many cases of bicycle drivers running red lights and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Proposal for traffic police to be allowed to chase if violators run away

In the draft Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, the Ministry of Public Security proposed that traffic police be equipped with weapons and support tools and pursue violators if they do not stop or run away.
