After the event, the identities of the soldiers in the Vietnam People's Army delegation were continuously searched. Among them, Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Tiep, who caused a stir in a dancesport performance, when interacting with a soldier of the Chinese army delegation.

This sport dance was part of a performance between soldiers from Vietnam, China, Laos and Myanmar organized by the Russian army on May 7. During the performance, the organizers introduced a performance prepared by the Chinese delegation. In neat military uniforms, Chinese soldiers stirred up the audience with beautiful dances and invited others to dance with them. At that moment, a Vietnamese officer confidently stepped onto the stage with the enthusiastic encouragement of his comrades.

His skillful dance performance made the soldiers from various countries present in the hall cheer and clap in admiration. Afterwards, the clip of this performance was shared all over social networks.

Speaking to the press, Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Tiep said that it was a cha cha cha dance. After the performance, he was surprised to receive many messages from relatives and friends and just found out that the image of the exchange had been posted on social networks.

Lieutenant Colonel Tiep said that through the sports dance, he wanted to show the world that Vietnamese people can integrate very well internationally.

As someone who has lived and studied in Russia for many years, Lieutenant Colonel Tiep believes that dancing is very important in communication and diplomatic relations. Therefore, when he saw this performance on stage, he immediately stepped up.

"The next day when we met again, the soldiers of the friendly country welcomed us very enthusiastically, we talked much more openly. In particular, the friendly side also revealed that the Chinese people knew me through TikTok and the media. That made me feel very happy," said Lieutenant Tiep.

As an interpreter for the Vietnam People's Army delegation in Russia, Lieutenant Colonel Tiep always remembered his superior's advice during the parade: "You are not only an interpreter, but you must also understand the culture and people of Russia to help the delegation integrate as quickly as possible."

Lieutenant Colonel Tiep also said that during his time studying and living in Russia, he was very shy about communicating. In the dormitory, there were only Vietnamese people, so he only communicated in Vietnamese. His grammar was very good, but his listening ability was poor, so he decided to learn sports dancing to improve his communication skills.

"When I took this course, I had many opportunities to meet Russian friends, fell in love with it and became passionate about it. This subject has helped me change a lot in my way of living, approaching and interacting with Russian people," said Lieutenant Colonel Tiep.

After returning to Vietnam in 2011, Mr. Tiep wanted to pass on his knowledge and experience to those who came after him in the army. He opened classes, invited military cadets and university students, and established dance clubs.

"Since then, my dance performances and those of my students have regularly appeared at ceremonies at the Military Technical Academy," Lieutenant Colonel Tiep informed.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Tiep is a PhD, lecturer at the Military Technical Academy, and holds the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Institute of Missile and Control Engineering. He has spent a total of 10 years living, studying and researching in Russia.
