Creation and innovation of handicrafts
The International Fair " Hanoi Handicraft Gifts 2025" with the theme "Enhancing Creativity - Spreading the Essence - Reaching for Integration" has a scale of 450 booths of enterprises and handicraft production facilities from provinces and cities across the country and abroad.
Da Nang City has 6 establishments and enterprises participating in the fair, including Thap Van Huong business household with agarwood processing and manufacturing products; VIANA Production, Trade & Service Company Limited with Ai Lam sticky rice wine products; ADEVA NATURALS Company Limited with ADEVA noni juice products; Da Nang snail shell handicraft establishment with paintings and photos attached to snail shells; Pham Van Thanh production establishment with agarwood products; Huong Que Production, Processing, Import-Export and Business Company Limited with products processed from cinnamon trees such as cinnamon essential oil, cinnamon insoles, etc.
Mr. Pham Van Thanh, owner of Pham Van Thanh Production Facility (Tam Hoa village, Ha Nha commune) said that the fair is a particularly important trade event for handicrafts because it gathers a large number of international businesses, partners and investors. Participating in the fair is an opportunity to affirm the brand and promote handicraft products to friends around the world .
“The fair is a bridge for trade, introducing unique handicraft products and opening up business cooperation. We focus on creating green, clean agarwood products that are good for users’ health and bring luck,” said Mr. Thanh.

According to the Danang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion (Department of Industry and Trade), the international fair "Hanoi Handicraft Gifts 2025" has created an open space, facilitating artisans, designers and production facilities to exchange and share experiences, thereby hoping to form effective chains of links between design - production - product consumption.
The highlight of the fair was that artisans and skilled workers boldly created and innovated the design of handicrafts. Many artisans applied advanced material processing techniques, delicately combining traditional materials with modern design thinking, creating products that are both highly artistic and applicable in life.
Creating a new path
Vietnam has signed many free trade agreements with international partners such as the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union (EVFTA), the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the Vietnam - United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA)... helping to reduce export taxes and increase opportunities to expand the market for handicrafts in Da Nang city.
As Vietnam increasingly participates deeply in the world economy, new paths will open up for the handicraft industry to have more opportunities to grow.

Mr. Dinh Van Phuc, Deputy Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Da Nang City, said that the industry and trade sector has identified the issue that needs top attention as finding a new direction for handicraft products.
The unit will organize competitions to design new product models and recognize typical handicraft products. The center will implement industrial promotion programs to support businesses and handicraft production facilities to apply advanced machinery and equipment, apply science and technology to improve labor productivity, green production, and protect the environment.
“We continue to implement trade promotion programs, connect supply and demand, support communication, help production facilities and businesses register brands, participate in production chains, develop handicrafts as well as participate in e-commerce platforms to open up the market,” said Mr. Phuc.
According to Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Hung, to develop handicrafts, Da Nang city needs to focus on commercializing cultural values and uniqueness in products instead of just focusing on price.
The city needs to promote support policies associated with preserving traditions and culture; green growth and building value chains. Maintain local identity; diversify the structure of enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities; mobilize economic resources, increase investment capital to promote the development of the handicraft industry.
