This information was announced by the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City in a document sent to the Department of Telecommunications, providing information on the plan to develop telecommunications infrastructure and digital infrastructure to serve the construction of the International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding the location of the Financial Center, Ho Chi Minh City plans to build it in an area of 11 land lots (coded from 1-1 to 1-11 with an area of 9.2 hectares) in functional area No. 1, Thu Thiem New Urban Area, Thu Duc City.

Currently, this area is vacant land, planned to build technical infrastructure such as: traffic, electricity, water, telecommunications, lighting, etc., no residential buildings, offices have been built and there are no people living in this area.

Regarding the current status of telecommunications infrastructure and digital infrastructure in the area where the Financial Center is expected to be built, there are currently 4 businesses providing mobile broadband infrastructure.

There are currently 10 fixed broadband infrastructure service providers. As for data center infrastructure, there are currently 10 service providers around the area.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology said it will continue to coordinate with telecommunications enterprises and related units to ensure that telecommunications and digital infrastructure are deployed and installed in the area where the Financial Center is expected to be built with the goal of covering 100% of the 5G mobile information network, 100% of the routes are set up with fixed broadband fiber optic infrastructure, and access speeds meet the requirements of construction and development of the International Financial Center.
