University of Health Sciences gives bonus points to candidates with IELTS, SAT

In the 2025 regular university enrollment plan just announced by the school, out of a total of 1,060 quotas, the school allocates 300 quotas for Medicine, 110 quotas for Medicine by order, 150 quotas for Pharmacy, 100 quotas for Dentistry, 100 quotas for Traditional Medicine and 300 quotas for Nursing.

Compared to last year, this year's total target increased by 500 students, to meet training needs and match the school's development orientation.

Notably, this year, for the first time, the University of Health Sciences applies a bonus point policy for candidates with an IELTS certificate of 6.0 or higher or SAT exam results of 1,280 or higher.

This policy applies to all school admissions methods in 2025.

Specifically, the bonus points on a 30-point scale are calculated according to the formula:

Bonus points = 0.9 × IELTS score/9 + 0.9 × SAT score/1,600

In case the total admission score after calculating the additional points exceeds 30 points, the score will be converted to a maximum of 30 points. After that, priority points according to subjects and regions will be added according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

To apply for bonus points, candidates need to submit a notarized copy of their IELTS certificate or a paper copy of their SAT exam results to the school before 5:00 p.m. on July 21.

In 2025, the University of Health Sciences will enroll students in 3 ways:

- Method 1: Direct admission, priority direct admission, priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City National University, including 3 groups of subjects:

+ Candidates who won national excellent student award in Biology (Pharmacy major considers Chemistry).

+ The best candidate of high school according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

+ Excellent candidates from the list of 149 high schools according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Method 2: Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025.

The admission quality assurance threshold will be announced by the Admissions Council before 5:00 p.m. on July 23.

Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, with the input quality assurance threshold determined according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
