In addition, the Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic also awarded the Friendship Medal to 7 individuals of Cuu Long University with outstanding achievements in training human resources, contributing to the socio -economic development of Laos.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu said that after 23 years of construction and development, the university has become a prestigious university in the Mekong Delta region, a center for high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate training, serving the country's industrialization and modernization.

Since 2015, Cuu Long University has begun to receive and train human resources for Laos, fostering the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos. The school has proactively granted many scholarships to Lao students to study at the school.
"Today, Cuu Long University is honored to receive the Labor Medal from the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. This is a noble award for the school's collective and individuals. In the coming time, the school will continue to promote international cooperation ineducation , enhance training of Lao students, and contribute to training high-quality human resources for Laos" - Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu expressed.
Currently, Cuu Long University has 10 strategic partners in Laos. In the period 2015-2023, the university established 15 delegations to work in Laos and welcomed 18 delegations from Laos to visit and work at the university.

The school has supported Laos with the project to build a Smart Village model in Thongmang Village, Xaythany, Vientiane capital; coordinated to establish the UCL – IICT Vietnamese Friendship Training Center in Vientiane...
Regarding human resource training for the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the school accepts students with full scholarships and some self-funded programs, long-term training (including training in Vietnamese language courses before entering specialized studies) at the college-to-university level, university and master's degrees in the fields of Economics, Society, Technology and Health.
