Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Do Dang Bao Linh said: “The Department of Education and Training of the two old provinces has made preparations in advance to facilitate students from Binh Phuoc province (old) to follow their parents to work at the new provincial center after the merger. The general spirit is to create maximum conditions for students to transfer to the new school in the provincial center, suitable for the workplace of the parents of the students”.
Facilitate student transfer
After the province merger, Ms. Luong Thu Huong and her husband, who worked at the old Binh Phuoc Provincial Police, were transferred to the new Dong Nai Provincial Police. They also brought their son, Doan Duc Thien, who is about to enter 6th grade.
Initially, Ms. Thu Huong intended to enroll her child in a public school, but she was worried that working office hours would prevent her from taking her child to and from school at noon, because the school did not have boarding classes. After consulting, she decided to enroll her child in a private high school in Tran Bien ward with reasonable tuition fees, boarding classes, and shuttle bus services.
Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of Department of Education and Training TRUONG THI KIM HUE:
Many options for parents transferring jobs to new provincial centers
There are a large number of schools in the center of Dong Nai province. In addition to public schools, private schools have boarding services and shuttle buses, which are very convenient. All schools have been directed to create maximum convenience when parents who are officials, civil servants, and public employees from Binh Phuoc province (old) come to register their wishes for their children to study. The Department of Education and Training has reminded schools to wholeheartedly advise parents to find a suitable learning environment for their children, thereby helping them quickly adapt to the learning atmosphere and prepare for the new school year.
Meanwhile, Mr. Le Quang Chau, an officer of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Police (formerly), who recently transferred to the Dong Nai Provincial Police after the merger, also had certain concerns when transferring his son to a new school because he was following his father to a new workplace. Choosing a school in a location that would be convenient for both parents and children during his father's work and his child's studies was the first thing he considered.
After some consideration, Mr. Chau decided to choose a private high school in Tran Bien ward with good facilities, highly appreciated teaching and learning quality, a boarding model, and tuition fees suitable for his income. Not only Mr. Chau, many parents in Binh Phuoc province (old) who moved to work in the new Dong Nai province center have submitted applications for their children to study at this school.
Principal of Nguyen An Ninh Primary School (located in Tam Hiep Ward) Hoang Thi Ngoc said that before the province merger, some parents from Binh Phuoc Province (old) came to the school to register their children. After securing seats for students in the area according to the zoning, the school created conditions for parents from Binh Phuoc Province (old) to transfer to the new Dong Nai Province center. In addition to first graders, the school also considered and created conditions for parents to feel secure when accepting students who wish to transfer to grades 3, 4, and 5.
Mr. Le Chung Hieu, Principal of Nguyen Khac Hieu Primary School (located in Tran Bien Ward), said that the school is located on Nguyen Van Tri Street, close to the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Dong Nai Province, so recently many parents who are civil servants and public employees from Binh Phuoc Province (old) have transferred to work and registered to transfer their children to another school, because they want to conveniently pick up and drop off their children every day, close to their parents' workplace and residence. The school always shares and creates maximum conditions for parents from Binh Phuoc Province (old) to register their children to study, hoping that both parents and students will soon stabilize their workplace and place of study.
Peace of mind in new place of study
Before moving to work in the new Dong Nai provincial center, many parents in Binh Phuoc province (old) were worried because the population in the central wards of the new province was quite large, with many students. Some parents even thought that some public schools still had to study in three shifts, due to the lack of classrooms, so they were wondering whether to move their children or not.

However, after learning through many different channels, especially from colleagues at the new agency, many parents from Binh Phuoc province (old) who moved to work here felt secure. Some parents initially intended to send their children to public schools, but after visiting and learning about the facilities of private schools, they decided to change direction because of the good facilities and many amenities.
Principal of Asia Bilingual Primary, Secondary and High School (located in Tran Bien Ward) Ho Thi Lam said that before the province's merger, some parents from Binh Phuoc (old) called to inquire, then brought their children to visit the school's facilities. After inquiring, many parents decided to let their children take the entrance exam right away. After passing, the school created favorable conditions for the students to enroll and prepare for the new school year 2025-2026.
“After receiving students from Binh Phuoc province (old), the school will help them quickly integrate into the new learning environment so that their parents can work with peace of mind,” Ms. Ho Thi Lam added.
Principal of Bui Thi Xuan Primary, Secondary and High School (located in Tam Hiep Ward) Pham Thi Ngoc Ly said that up to now, the school has received applications from more than 20 students from Binh Phuoc Province (old) whose parents registered to study. The new school year is coming, the pressure on enrollment for the school is not as great as previous years, so it is very favorable for students from Binh Phuoc Province (old).
Ms. Le Thi Thu Thao, whose husband moved to work at the Department of Agriculture and Environment after the province's merger, said: "When we had to transfer our two children from the center of Binh Phuoc province (old) to the new center of Dong Nai province, my husband and I were very worried. My husband and I considered many options, such as sending our children to their grandparents so that they could have a stable learning environment. However, when we arrived at the new provincial center and visited some public and private schools, I felt secure, even more secure when the private schools in the new provincial center had many suitable tuition segments, and the quality of teaching was highly appreciated by many people. All schools have a boarding model, in the morning parents take their children to school and pick them up in the afternoon."
