Truong Xuan promotes the role of farmers in rural development

Attending the Congress were Provincial Party Committee member, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Farmers' Association Tran Van Tung; local leaders and 105 delegates representing 1,634 cadres and farmer members of the whole commune.

The Farmers' Association of Truong Xuan Commune was established on the basis of merging the Farmers' Association of Nam N'Jang Commune and Truong Xuan Commune (old) with 19 branches; of which, there are 3 branches and 5 professional farmers' associations.

In the last term, 19/19 branches had an operating fund, the annual development fund of the Association was 60,000 VND/member on average. Some branches mobilized and maintained the Fund for members to borrow to invest in production such as: Branches of Village 5, Village 9, Village 12, Dak Lep Village, Ta Mung...

The movement of farmers competing in good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty is the core activity of the Association.

Notable among these are the high-quality, high-efficiency farming and livestock models such as: Durian growing model in village 6; Mulberry growing and silkworm raising model in Dak Lep village, village 8; melon growing model in greenhouses in village 6 and Pang Sim hamlet; goat breeding model, super-lean duck raising model in Ta Mung hamlet, Jang Play 3 hamlet... All models bring high economic value, increasing income for farmers.

5 (1) — The Executive Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Farmers' Association presented flowers to congratulate the Congress.

In addition, the Association also promotes the dissemination of health insurance and social insurance policies to officials and farmer members. Currently, there are 1,450 members participating in health insurance. Farmer members have contributed over VND800 million, donated over 50,000m2 of ^land ; renovated and repaired 16km of rural roads...

Currently, the total capital managed by the Commune Farmers Support Fund has reached 1.45 billion VND, implementing 4 projects with 33 households borrowing. Loans for production development through savings and loan groups under the Farmers' Association have reached a high level. Up to now, the total outstanding debt has reached over 52.3 billion VND, with 14 groups and 726 households borrowing.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Farmers' Association of Truong Xuan commune strives to achieve 14 targets. Focusing on key targets such as: Recruiting 300 new members; establishing 1 cooperative, 2 cooperative groups, 3 professional farmer associations and 6 professional farmer associations; 100% of the associations have operating funds...

Launching the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Truong Xuan Commune for the 2025 - 2030 term

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Lam Dong Farmers' Association Tran Van Tung suggested that in the coming term, the Association should continue to innovate its methods of operation, build and develop a team of cadres and members with sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige for the work and the farmers' movement. From there, it aims to improve farmers' mastery in agricultural and rural development, continuing to successfully implement the targets for the 2025 - 2030 term.

The Congress announced the decision of the Provincial Farmers' Association on appointing the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Truong Xuan commune, term I, consisting of 25 comrades, and the Standing Committee of 7 comrades. Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Truong Xuan commune for the term 2025 - 2030.

The Congress also consulted and elected a delegation (2 official delegates, 1 alternate delegate) to attend the 1st Congress of Lam Dong Provincial Farmers' Association.
