Training on organic agricultural production in Lam Dong

On October 16, in Phan Thiet ward, the National Agricultural Extension Center coordinated with the Lam Dong Provincial Agricultural Extension Center to organize a training course on "Techniques for applying microbiological technology to treat the environment from waste by-products to make organic fertilizer".

The training course was attended by agricultural extension officers, technical officers, farmers, farm owners, and cooperative members from the Southeast region of the province.

Accordingly, during the 2 days (October 16-17), students were introduced to an overview of agricultural by-products and the environment; microbiological technology in environmental treatment; and techniques for composting organic fertilizer from by-products.

In which, it is emphasized that microbiological technology in environmental treatment is the use of microorganisms or their enzymes to decompose organic and inorganic pollutants in water, air and soil. This process can take place in natural conditions or in controlled treatment systems.

Overview of the training class

At the training class, trainees were also taught about the application of organic microbial fertilizers in agricultural production; skills in building a model for processing waste by-products into organic fertilizers.

According to the National Agricultural Extension Center, currently, in addition to traditional treatment methods, a number of agricultural by-products and waste products have been and are being utilized in many different directions.
