>> Hanoi Medical University's benchmark scores for the past 4 years
This year, Hanoi Medical University will enroll 1,910 students, an increase of 190 students compared to last year. The school only uses two admission methods: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi Medical University, and admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Compared to last year, this year, the school has eliminated two methods of considering high school graduation exam scores combined with international language certificates and considering the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam scores. Of which, the school directly admits up to 40% of the target, or more than 760 students, an increase of 15% compared to last year.
The conditions for direct admission to all majors are that candidates have won bronze medals at international and regional Olympic competitions in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Informatics; and candidates have won third prize or higher in national competitions for excellent students in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Informatics, English, and French.
In particular, in addition to the above achievements, the school has added candidates who have won third prize or higher in the national high school excellent student selection exam in History, Geography, and Literature. In addition, candidates who have won prizes in the International Science and Technology Fair (ISEF) sent by the Ministry of Education and Training will be considered for direct admission to all majors that are suitable for the content of the candidate's competition topic.
For candidates who attend ISEF but do not win any prizes, with an IELTS certificate of 6.5 or higher or equivalent, they must report their competition topic in English to the school's admissions board and have all members present agree to the meeting, and will be considered for direct admission to all majors suitable for the content of the candidate's competition topic.
Candidates who win first, second, and third prizes in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students will be considered for direct admission to bachelor's degree programs suitable for the content of the competition topic in which the candidates won prizes.
In addition, the school directly admits candidates who have completed the university preparatory program. In case the number of direct admission applications exceeds the quota, the school will consider the following priority order: Order of awards, English or French language certificate scores, and average score of three years of high school.
The time of winning the prize must not exceed 3 years from the time of direct admission. If the direct admission candidates do not meet the quota, the remaining direct admission quota will be for the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Regarding the high school graduation exam scores, in addition to the 4 old combinations including B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), B08 (Math, Biology, English), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), D01 (Math, Literature, English), this year, the school added combination A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry).
This is the first year the school uses this combination, considering the majors of Ophthalmology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Nursing, Midwifery, Dental Prosthetic Technology, Nutrition, Social Work, Medical Imaging Technology.
Candidates with an IELTS certificate of 5.5 or higher (or equivalent) will receive 1-2 additional points. The school also adds 0.25-3 incentive points to candidates who do not meet the direct admission conditions or do not use the direct admission conditions.
Estimated university tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year range from 16.9 - 62.2 million VND.
