Those were the affirmations of Lao leaders to Vietnam News Agency reporters in Vientiane on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam News Agency.

Academician, Professor, Doctor Boviengkham Vongdara, Minister of Technology and Communications, Chairman of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association highly appreciated the role of Vietnam News Agency in general, as well as the resident reporters of Vietnam News Agency working in Laos in particular.

According to Lao Minister of Information and Communications Boviengkham Vongdara, Vietnam News Agency is a press agency with a glorious history, established during the years of resistance war for national salvation, when the Vietnamese people were fighting against the invasion of French colonialists and American imperialists.

During that resistance war, reporters of Vietnam News Agency devoted themselves to the battlefield, recorded valuable images and information, and wrote news and articles to convey to the people of the whole country and international friends.

In the new context, Vietnam News Agency continues to promote the spirit of innovation and creativity. In the era of modern media and digital transformation, Vietnam News Agency continues to innovate strongly, transmitting information on many different platforms, including social networks. Thanks to that, people can access information quickly, accurately and promptly, reflecting the situation in the country, the region and the world .

The President of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association emphasized that in the context of the complex and unpredictable regional and world situation, Vietnam News Agency reporters always maintain the spirit of professionalism, responsibility, honesty and objectivity, helping the public, including the Lao people, to promptly grasp the movements of the times. In particular, Vietnam News Agency is also an "information bridge" that helps vividly reflect the socio -economic development of Laos to the Vietnamese public and international friends, contributing to promoting mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples.

The Lao Minister of Information and Communications expressed his sincere feelings that the Vietnam News Agency has been promoting its role as a bridge in strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.

On this occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam News Agency, Academician, Professor, Doctor Boviengkham Vongdara sent his sincere thanks to Vietnam News Agency reporters in Laos, as well as all staff, reporters and editors of Vietnam News Agency for their dedication and continuous efforts in building and nurturing the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam.

The Minister wished all leaders, staff, reporters and editors of Vietnam News Agency good health and continued success in their journalism career - a political task that is both heavy and glorious.

He also expressed his belief that the Vietnam News Agency will continue to actively contribute to preserving and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, and Vietnam and Laos forever green and everlasting.

From a diplomatic perspective, Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane also emphasized the important role of the Vietnam News Agency as a press agency with a long and respected history. Throughout its formation and development, the Vietnam News Agency has played a very important role as the official voice of the Party and State and represents the aspirations of the Vietnamese people.

According to him, Vietnam News Agency not only performs well in its task of informing and propagating the policies of the Party and State, but also plays the role of a bridge between the Government and the people. The Lao Foreign Minister affirmed that Vietnam News Agency is a voice with profound influence in the political and social life of Vietnam.

Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane recalled the special Laos-Vietnam relationship that was formed during the historical years of fighting against the common enemy, when the two peoples together established the Party, built forces and political organizations to bring the revolutionary cause to victory.
