Talks between the Border Guard of Da Nang City and the Police of Sekong Province - Laos

DNO - The Da Nang City Border Guard Command recently held talks with the Sekong Provincial Police (Laos).

The two sides signed a cooperation program on border protection.

At the talks, the two sides exchanged and assessed the situation and results of coordination work in ensuring security and order in the border areas of both sides in recent times; at the same time, they agreed on the content and signed the minutes of the 6th talks, which will serve as a legal basis for implementing coordination work in managing and protecting the sovereignty and security of each side's border, contributing to building a peaceful , friendly, stable and developing Da Nang - Se Kong border.

Colonel Tran Tien Hien informed the Sekong Provincial Police Delegation about the situation in the border area of ​​Da Nang city. Accordingly, in recent times, the political security situation, social order and safety in Da Nang city in general and the border area in particular have been basically stable, no violations of the law, crimes infringing on national sovereignty and border security have been detected; people have strictly complied with and implemented the agreements, treaties and border regulations between the two countries.

The city's Border Guard has proactively coordinated and coordinated with other forces, especially the Lao border protection and security forces, to promptly grasp all developments of the situation and avoid being caught off guard.

In particular, border posts adjacent to Laos have closely coordinated with security forces and border guards of Sekong province to exchange information and situations related to the activities of Vietnamese people working and living in Sekong province; and to resolve migration issues...

On that basis, promptly advise the Da Nang City Border Guard Command and Sekong Provincial Police to direct, resolve and handle appropriately in the spirit of solidarity, special friendship, non-interference, respect for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of each country.

Major General Kham Ban Phommanivong said that recently, the Sekong Provincial Police have implemented the contents of the 2023 annual conference minutes on ensuring security and order in border areas.
