Within the framework of the 48th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee taking place in the capital Vientiane, on the morning of December 3, Vietnam News Agency organized a photo exhibition with the theme "Great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion" at the Lao National Convention Center.

Nearly 30 typical photos were carefully selected from the rich archive of Vietnam News Agency, by a team of domestic photojournalists and correspondents stationed in Vientiane. The photos comprehensively and vividly reflect the depth of the loyal and steadfast relationship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

Before entering the meeting, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Lao Prime Minister Sonxay Siphandone visited the exhibition space with outstanding current photos, recording activities during the state visit of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, his wife and the high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

The photo series also reflects the 50th Anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Summit between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party which took place from December 1-2.

In addition, many photos recorded the visits, activities and important events of the two countries' senior leaders in the process of cultivating and developing the comprehensive cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
