From 8:00 a.m. on July 22, Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir (Muong Xen commune) discharged water at a rate of 500m3/s.

Urgent notice No. 120 stated: At 04:11, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received notice No. 07 dated July 22 from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation regarding the discharge of water from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to discharge water from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir as follows:

Estimated time of water discharge through the spillway: 08:00, July 22, 2025.

Discharge flow: Total discharge flow is expected to be about 140 - 500 ^m3 /s (including discharge through spillway gates, generator sets and sand discharge sluices) and may vary depending on the flow to the lake.

Estimated time to end water discharge through spillway: Until water flow to the lake decreases below 140 m ³ /s.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: People's Committees of Muong Xen, Huu Kiem, Chieu Luu communes and Heads of provincial Departments, branches and sectors to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the area downstream of Nam Mo Hydropower Plant to carry out necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and the People.
