The Ban Ve Hydropower Company's Trade Union currently has 148 cadres, employees, and workers, including 32 women. During the past term, the weather conditions in Nghe An province and the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant area have been complex, significantly affecting the unit's production and business activities.
In particular, typhoons No. 3, No. 5, and No. 10 in 2025 directly hit Nghe An, causing heavy rain, flooding, and flash floods that significantly affected the lives of workers, production and business activities, as well as the activities of the trade union. In addition, due to the nature of the work, employees are scattered across many areas, making it difficult for the Trade Union Executive Committee to operate. The change in local government at two levels also affected the company's operations, requiring some activities to be modified to comply with the new government where the company and factory are located.
Nevertheless, Ban Ve Hydropower Company has managed the operation of the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant's generating units in accordance with the approved operating procedures, ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient operation of the units, contributing to resolving the difficulties of electricity shortages for the system, especially during peak months. Economic and technical indicators for each year have met or exceeded the plan.
During the past term, the Trade Union of Ban Ve Hydropower Company has also achieved positive results in caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its employees. The Trade Union has coordinated with the management to organize the annual Workers' Conference in accordance with regulations; participated in the development of annual plans, the establishment and settlement of the salary fund, and the distribution of salary, bonus, and welfare funds in accordance with regulations. The distribution of salaries, bonuses, and other benefits to employees has been ensured to be fair and transparent.
In addition, the Trade Union has contributed many ideas in arranging the workforce and assigning jobs to employees and workers in accordance with the unit's annual situation and tasks.
Thanks to this, the jobs and incomes of employees and workers have been stable during the past term. Annually, the Trade Union, in coordination with the professional departments, has done a good job of increasing salaries and promoting employees. All regulations regarding study tours, experience sharing, and rest periods have been fully implemented according to the regulations of the Vietnam Electricity Group and Power Generation Corporation 1. Every year, the unit provides maximum opportunities for employees and workers to take rest periods as prescribed. The company has promptly and correctly reviewed salary increases and salary grade transfers for employees...
Furthermore, the Trade Union plays a crucial role in ensuring workers' rights regarding working conditions, rest periods, sick leave, maternity leave, insurance, etc. They regularly organize visits to workers in difficult circumstances or suffering from serious illnesses, providing a total of 452 million VND in assistance. They also provided 20 million VND from the union's fund and 293.5 million VND from donations solicited from union members to support families affected by Typhoon No. 5.
The trade union also focuses on ensuring good working and living conditions for the plant's operating engineers and supervisors at construction sites, as well as for the construction and repair of sports facilities. Annually, in coordination with the professional departments and the youth union, they effectively commend and reward the children of employees and workers who achieve high academic results; and regularly organize recreational and cultural activities for the children on occasions such as June 1st and the Mid-Autumn Festival.

On this occasion, the Congress also elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union for the fourth term, 2025-2030; and elected delegates to attend the higher-level trade union congress. Comrade Le Trung Ky - Workshop Manager of the Operations Department - was elected to the position of Chairman of the Trade Union of Ban Ve Hydropower Company for the term 2025-2030.
