Updated information as of the afternoon of November 19 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, cold air has affected most of the South Central region. Meanwhile, in the North and North Central regions, the cold air has intensified, causing temperatures to drop sharply.

The lowest temperature on November 19 in Hanoi was 12 degrees Celsius; in the northern mountainous region, the temperature dropped very low, such as at Sin Ho station (Lai Chau) 9.1 degrees Celsius; Sa Pa (Lao Cai) 7.2 degrees Celsius; Dong Van (Tuyen Quang) 8.3 degrees Celsius; Tam Dao (Phu Tho) 8 degrees Celsius; Mau Son (Lang Son) 3.6 degrees Celsius.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned that on November 20, cold air will continue to cause severe cold in the northern mountainous areas, and cold to severe cold in the northern plains and midlands, and the North Central region.

Accordingly, the lowest temperature in the Northern plains and midlands will remain at around 11-14 degrees Celsius (in mountainous areas, below 5 degrees Celsius), from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh around 12-15 degrees Celsius, Quang Tri and Hue 16-19 degrees Celsius. From the night of November 20 to November 21, the temperature from Hue to the North will increase by 1 degree Celsius compared to November 20, but it will still be cold over a wide area.

Due to the influence of the cold air combined with disturbances in the upper east wind zone, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on November 19, the area from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa had widespread heavy rain. Specifically, the rainfall measured at: Buon Tang station (Gia Lai province) 181mm, Dap Tran station (Dak Lak province) 427mm, Khanh Thuong station (Khanh Hoa province) 222mm...
