A 7-year-old girl in Xuan Truong Ward, Da Lat, Lam Dong Province, was in her house when a large amount of landslide suddenly collapsed part of her house and buried her. Authorities deployed emergency rescue plans and brought the girl safely out of the landslide area.

Initial information, due to prolonged heavy rain, at around 6:00 p.m. on November 19, at Tay Ho 2 residential group, Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat, a landslide occurred, collapsing part of the house of Mr. TTV's family. At the time of the incident, the girl TTD (born in 2018) was in the room behind the house and was buried by rocks and soil.

Upon receiving the information, the Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police Department directed the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department to urgently deploy forces to the scene, coordinate with local authorities to carry out rescue work, and rescue the child who was buried in the layer of soil and rocks.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province Ho Van Muoi and Colonel Nguyen Tuong Vu, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police, arrived at the scene to direct the rescue work.

At the scene, the authorities searched for the victim trapped under the rock layer. After determining where the child had an accident, the rescue team of Lam Dong Provincial Police broke through the concrete wall and reached the victim, but only the head. The entire body and legs of the child were crushed under the rock layer.

Authorities mobilized excavators to the scene , carefully removing each block of concrete and layer of rock and soil so as not to affect the little girl.

At about 7:20 p.m., the child was taken out of the landslide site by authorities in a conscious state, with injuries to both legs, and was immediately transferred to Lam Dong General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Initial reports indicate the child has a broken leg, is currently conscious and is being urgently treated by doctors.

According to authorities, at the above time, in Loc Quy village, Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat, prolonged heavy rain caused a landslide of a large amount of soil and rock, threatening to directly affect 8 houses of local people.

Currently, authorities are inspecting and assessing the extent of the landslide , implementing safety measures in the area where the incident occurred and supporting the affected family.

Authorities successfully rescued a baby girl buried under rocks and soil.
