On May 20, in the hallway of the National Assembly , talking to the press, Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Duc, National Assembly delegate (NA) of Ho Chi Minh City, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs, expressed his opinion: currently, the Prime Minister has requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to study and supplement sanctions to handle agencies requesting advertising, agencies carrying out advertising, individuals, artists, and celebrities who take advantage of their reputation to engage in false advertising, especially on social networks.
According to Deputy Nguyen Minh Duc, it is necessary to amend the law in a tightening direction. If there are strict constraints, advertisers will not be able to violate them.
On the other hand, celebrities must also be aware of their impact on the public, in addition to understanding the law, they must be responsible. Many countries in the world have formed a social order, which is social awareness and legal awareness. Any citizen who is aware will feel ashamed of his illegal behavior, and they will also be condemned by the community.

“Therefore, I think that people with prestige and reputation in the community must show their integrity more, must feel responsible for themselves, their reputation, and social ethics, because every step and action of theirs is noticed and followed by public opinion and people,” said Delegate Nguyen Minh Duc.
Along with that, it is necessary to review, amend and perfect the legal regulations on false and fraudulent advertising. For products with false advertising that affect social psychology, public health, etc., there must be detailed regulations with heavier sanctions.
Recently, a series of cases of fake milk, fake functional foods, fake drugs... have been discovered. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has clearly stated that smuggling and making hundreds of tons of fake goods without the knowledge of the authorities, while to do this, there must be warehouses, buying and selling activities, transportation, then there are only two possibilities: one is no longer willing to fight, two is bribed, there is negativity; both of these must be strictly handled. According to Deputy Nguyen Minh Duc, it is necessary to review, inspect and clarify, if there is such a thing as the Prime Minister's assessment, then it must be handled, because the law has no forbidden zones.
Regarding this incident, National Assembly member Nguyen Thi Viet Nga (Hai Duong) said that the prosecution of beauty queen Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien shows that the provision of legal knowledge to a segment of public figures is still inadequate.
“There are people who intentionally or unintentionally assist in illegal activities, and they do not fully understand the law. Because when famous people build a solid position for themselves in the hearts of the public, if they have a thorough understanding of the law, I think people will not accept such a trade-off,” said Deputy Nguyen Thi Viet Nga.

The delegate hopes that, while reviewing and tightening relevant regulations, he will also promote legal propaganda and awareness so that each person can improve their knowledge and cultivate their own knowledge. Especially for famous people who have influence on the public, it is even more necessary to live and work according to the Constitution and laws as well as ethical standards.
According to the initial investigation, Kera candy food supplement is a product of Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien and the shareholders of Chi Em Rot Company in cooperation. In which, Tien enjoys the profit according to the capital contribution agreement, equivalent to 30%, the remaining shareholders contribute 70% of the shares.
After launching the product, Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, Nguyen Thi Thai Hang (Hang Du Muc) and Pham Quang Linh (Quang Linh Vlogs) provided false information to exaggerate the product's benefits. Meanwhile, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien knew that on the test results sheet attached to the announcement file, the information on the label of Kera vegetable candy product showed that the fiber content was very low, only 0.935%, not much effect in supplementing fiber for people who are picky about eating vegetables, but did not know specifically what kind of raw materials Asia Life Joint Stock Company used to produce the candy.
By the end of February 2025, when there was a controversy on social networks regarding the fiber content in Kera candy, to avoid any impact, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien proposed to sign a contract on advertising cooperation to eliminate Tien's role as a shareholder.
The police agency determined that Chi Em Rot Company sold more than 135,000 boxes of Kera candy with a total revenue of nearly 18 billion VND, of which Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien alone received nearly 7 billion VND.
