Jubilant Opening Ceremony of ASEAN Police Football Tournament
The opening ceremony of the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament took place in a solemn, exciting and emotional atmosphere on the evening of July 9.

Attending the opening ceremony were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security ; along with many leaders of the Party and State; leaders of ministries, departments, central and local agencies; representatives of police leaders of units and localities; leaders of the Vietnam Olympic Committee; Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association; VFF, VPF and representatives of leaders of units and enterprises accompanying the tournament. Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang emphasized: “Promoting the spirit of solidarity, honesty, and nobility, I believe that the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament will be a great success, contributing to fans with good matches and beautiful goals; leaving a strong impression deeply demonstrating the solidarity, close and effective cooperation between the police forces of the countries, to protect the peaceful life of the people for the peace of humanity; continuing to affirm that Vietnam is always ready to be a friend, a reliable partner, an active and responsible member of the international community, always striving, increasing contributions, maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world". At the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang presented flowers and souvenir flags to the 8 Heads of Delegations from the participating countries. Representatives of the Ministry of Public Security presented honorary titles to units accompanying the tournament. Mr. Do Quang Vinh - Vice Chairman and Deputy General Director of SHB shared: "SHB and T&T are extremely honored to accompany the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament, a special sporting event, contributing to strengthening friendship, cooperation and the aspiration to build a peaceful, stable and developed region". The opening ceremony was elaborately and magnificently staged, harmoniously combining traditional and modern music, imbued with the cultural identity of ASEAN countries. The tournament transcends all cultural and linguistic boundaries, demonstrating the aspirations, solidarity and noble ideals of the new generation of police officers. The ASEAN Police Football Tournament is taking place at Hang Day Stadium and PVF Stadium (Hung Yen). The tournament brings together 8 teams from 7 countries, including 5 ASEAN teams, 1 invited team from outside the region and 2 host teams. According to the draw results, group A includes: CAND Vietnam 1, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia; group B includes CAND Vietnam 2, Australia, Singapore, East Timor. The teams compete in a round robin to calculate points, the top two teams in each group enter the semi-finals.
