The highlight of this year’s competition is that the teams have learned how to “renew” revolutionary songs. Musician Pham Dac Hien, Chairman of the Binh Duong Province Literature and Arts Association, highly appreciated the serious investment of the units, and at the same time encouraged more creativity in staging to increase propaganda effectiveness.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thao, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union, the contest is a profound political and cultural activity, aiming to contribute to educating revolutionary traditions and fostering noble ideals for the younger generation. Through lyrics, singing, and elaborately staged illustrations, the performances strongly conveyed love for the homeland and gratitude to the ancestors who sacrificed for the Fatherland; at the same time, arousing the aspiration to build a strong country in the new era.
“The Organizing Committee hopes that the contest will not only create a healthy and useful playground for youth union members, but also promote the role of clubs and groups promoting revolutionary songs at the grassroots level in political and ideologicaleducation ,” Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thao emphasized.
This year’s competition was divided into 2 groups: Group A consisted of 6 teams from local units; Group B consisted of 5 teams from universities and colleges. At the end of the competition, Thu Dau Mot City Youth Union won the first prize in Group A. The second prize went to Tan Uyen City Youth Union.
In Group B, the first prize for the whole group went to Thu Dau Mot University. The team from Thu Dau Mot University made a strong impression with the program "Proudly following in the footsteps of the Ho Chi Minh generation". Inspired by the enthusiastic atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the team brought a youthful but solemn combination of performances, including: The trio "The Flag - Continuing the story of peace"; the dance "The soldiers in peacetime"; the solo "Red blood, yellow skin" and the group "Aspiration to be Vietnamese". Meanwhile, the second prize in Group B went to the Branch of Thuy Loi University in Binh Duong.
