Strength from unity and solidarity
Responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" launched by the Prime Minister , the Central Youth Union Secretariat has issued a plan to deploy and promote youth to carry out projects.
According to the summary report of the Central Youth Union, the movement has been widely deployed so far, demonstrating the pioneering role of the generation in social security tasks. At the same time, it is determined that this is a national youth project to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels.
Specifically, the Youth Union at all levels has mobilized over 350 billion VND in funding and contributed over 485,700 working days to build and repair houses. As a result, 14,640 houses were supported (123% higher than the initial target).
To achieve these impressive results, the Central Youth Union has directed provincial and municipal Youth Unions to review and register the number of houses in need of support and develop detailed plans that are suitable to local realities. The policy of "3 links" (linking forces, localities and communities) is considered the key to creating combined strength.
Youth volunteer teams have contributed nearly half a million working days, directly participating in tasks such as dismantling old houses, digging foundations, transporting materials, and assisting construction workers.
The image of cadres, union members, youth and armed forces soldiers not afraid of hardship, helping people transport materials, build or repair houses has become familiar. This not only helps save construction costs, but also contributes to connecting and bonding with the people.
Not only leaving an impression with the youth's strength in constructing works, the movement also saw many good models and creative ways of doing things, such as "Each member has a working day", "Volunteer team to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", "Mobilizing successful children to participate in supporting the elimination of temporary houses in their hometown", "Working day for the community", "Youth volunteers to build houses".

The results of the movement are clearly shown throughout the country, from the mountains to the plains, from urban to rural areas. Many units have made outstanding contributions. Typically, the Military Youth Union supported up to 3,650 houses, mobilizing 188 billion VND and 300,000 working days. Phu Tho Provincial Youth Union supported 3,132 houses with a budget of more than 18 billion VND. Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union supported 1,617 houses. Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union supported 1,366 houses.
Helping people have a stable and developed life
One of the highlights of the youth in joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is to aim for stability and promote poverty reduction.
The projects supported by the Youth Union are guaranteed to be public, transparent, and in accordance with regulations, with the principle of supporting each household, in accordance with the planning and socio -economic development plans of each locality.
In addition to construction, the Youth Union at all levels also mobilized and donated to purchase essential household items such as beds, tables, chairs, daily necessities, etc. to help families quickly settle into their new homes.

According to the assessment, the success of the movement comes from the strong leadership, close coordination with local Party committees and authorities, and most importantly, the enthusiastic response of each union member and youth.
This is a testament to the spirit of "wherever there is a need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth", contributing to the realization of the great goal of the Party and State of "settling down and making a living" for the people, especially poor households and policy families.
