Has a revenue model of over 10 billion VND
After being proposed by the Commune People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Quy in La Y residential group, My Thuong ward was given 1,000 square meters by the local government to develop a model of making bonsai and miniature rockery... This is a new model with high economic efficiency, quick capital recovery, creating jobs for many workers, very suitable for local conditions and can be replicated in the area.
According to Mr. Quy, along with being given favorable conditions in terms of premises, the Ward People's Committee also supported him in accessing preferential loans, so he expanded his investment with a total capital of more than 800 million VND. The output of these products is quite favorable due to the large market demand, so it has brought in a good income, after deducting expenses, reaching nearly 300 million VND/year, while contributing to creating jobs for 5-7 workers.
The household of Mr. Hoang Van Nhung, a farmer member in Tay Thuong Hamlet, My Thuong Ward, is a similar case. After receiving support from the Farmers' Association at all levels and favorable conditions from the local government, he successfully invested in business services in the field of feed and aquaculture. From 2021 to 2025, his annual sales will reach over 500 tons of various types of aquatic feed, raising revenue to over 10 billion VND/year, creating jobs for 12 regular workers and dozens of seasonal workers...
Promoting local advantages, the Farmers' Association of My Thuong Ward at all levels has supported members to build and replicate production linkage models associated with product outputs, forming specialized production areas. Notably, the chrysanthemum growing model has been developed with more than 110 participating households, creating significant additional income for members and farmers. Thereby, some members have proactively converted ineffective rice growing land to flower growing for higher income, mainly in the residential areas of An Ha, Chiet Bi, Ngoc Anh, Tay Tri Nhon... Farmers are supported with loans, have units in charge of seed sources, materials, and updated and disseminated new techniques to reduce costs, prices, increase productivity and quality, and turn agricultural products into high-quality goods with economic value.
Develop both scale and quality
Chairman of the Farmers' Association of My Thuong Ward, Mr. Tran Manh Phuong shared: Thanks to promoting the spirit of initiative, creativity, closely following the practical situation to implement all aspects of the association's work, spreading the movement of farmers to build new production models, thereby gathering and creating connections to promote the role and contribution of farmer members to become the core force in forming local economic development models. The Farmers' Association of the ward also organizes many practical activities to support members in developing production and business such as capital support, science and technology, market information, etc.
It can be seen that the Farmers Association at all levels in My Thuong is particularly interested in supporting the development of new production models to help members transform the structure of crops and livestock, bringing higher productivity and economic efficiency. At the same time, creating conditions for farmers to access preferential loans to develop service businesses, creating regular jobs for farmer members.
According to Mr. Tran Manh Phuong, in the coming time, local Farmers' Associations will continue to proactively advise Party committees and authorities to deploy many suitable models to create conditions for farmers to develop their family economy as well as participate in implementing local socio-economic development programs and projects.
