
In order to proactively prevent flooding in Trang Due and An Duong industrial parks and residential areas in An Phong ward due to the impact of heavy rain on the morning of October 14, An Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited has operated the Hoang Lau drainage pumping station to drain water in the system to Lach Tray river. Currently, 3 pumps with a capacity of 4,000 m3 /hour are operating continuously.
According to Mr. Tran Quang Hoat, Chairman of An Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, the company continues to monitor weather developments. If heavy rain continues, the company will operate additional pumping stations Ho Dong, Bac Ha, Do Nha, Dong Gioi, Van Tra 1 to proactively drain water from localized flooded areas in the area.
The company has set up 3 field pumping stations to serve the pumping and drainage work at locations at high risk of flooding in An Hai and An Duong wards to protect people's rice, crops and ornamental plants during heavy rains.
In which, field pumping station No. 1 in An Hai ward includes 1 horizontal pump of 1,000 m 3 / hour to pump water to the Lach Tray river. Field pumping station No. 2 at An Dong culvert, An Dong ward includes 1 horizontal pump of 1,000 m 3 / hour to pump water from An Kim Hai canal, branch 2, to Lach Tray canal when An Dong culvert cannot be opened to drain due to the influence of tides. Field pumping station No. 3 includes 1 horizontal pump of 540 m 3 / hour at the location near the culvert of the Cay Sanh cemetery canal to pump support water from the canal to Dang Le canal to drain to An Kim Hai canal, branch 2.
Previously, from October 12, the company directed irrigation clusters in the area to focus on opening sluices under Lach Tray dike and Cam river to drain buffer water in the irrigation system into the river.
