Calm, discreet, confident, and shy about talking about business is the first impression when meeting Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hue, Director of an export wig processing facility and Chairwoman of Tam Dao Xanh Tourism Development Cooperative.

After finishing 12th grade, Tran Thi Minh Hue did not take the university entrance exam but went to vocational school, hoping to soon have a job to earn money to help her parents raise her two younger siblings. After struggling to find a suitable job, at the age of 20 she boldly opened a restaurant in her hometown. While business was going well, her husband fell ill and passed away. Raising a small child alone, shouldering all the work in the family, the restaurant had to close, life for the mother and child was extremely difficult.

In 2004, after being taught the craft of making wigs for export by her sister-in-law living in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Hue returned to her hometown to open a processing facility at home. With the virtue of diligence, meticulousness and carefulness, the wig products of the facility are always of high quality and aesthetics, and are trusted by more and more partners.

In 2008, Ms. Hue established a hair processing facility for export, of which she was the Director. Initially, the facility attracted 15 workers, and the following year it increased to more than 40 workers, mainly from inside and outside the commune, who came to work regularly with an income of 4-5 million VND/person/month.

With effective and creative ways of doing things, creating prestige in providing wig export services, Ms. Hue has built trust with workers and large companies in the South. From there, she has expanded the scale of production to attract more workers.

In addition, she went to Vinh Quang Detention Camp (Sub-camp 2 in the former Ho Son commune, now Tam Dao commune) to coordinate with the camp leaders to open a vocational training class for 50 prisoners. After checking that the prisoners' skills met the requirements, she gave them products to make at the camp.

With the hope that when prisoners finish their prison terms and return to their hometowns to integrate into the community, they will have jobs soon. If anyone has the conditions to open a wig processing facility for export, she is willing to sign a delivery contract to help them have a stable income and integrate into the community. It is worth mentioning that if anyone finishes their prison term and does not have a job, she will hire them to work at her facility in Tam Dao commune.

Tran Thi Lan, from Tam Dao commune, has been deaf and mute since childhood but is very skillful. Ms. Hue has accepted her to work at the facility for decades with an average salary of nearly 5 million VND/month. Ms. Doan Thi Minh Thuy, from Tam Dao commune, has been with the workshop for more than 12 years. She said: "I want to work here for a long time because Ms. Hue is very fair. Every month, Ms. Hue pays the full and timely salary for the products to the workers. Whenever the workers are sick, she always visits, encourages, supports and shares with us spiritually and materially, helping us feel secure and want to work here for a long time."

Not stopping at doing export work, Ms. Hue realized that the impact of the environment has caused serious pollution of surface water, which will directly affect human health when using drinking water. After surveying the market and seeing that the demand for clean water in daily life, especially drinking water, is increasing, in 2016, Ms. Hue sent her two younger siblings to study bottled water production techniques and rented more than 1,000 m2 of land in Nga Hoang village near her house to invest nearly 2 billion VND to build a factory, water filter tank, filter, bottle washing machine, filling and capping machine, bottle hanging system, finished water storage warehouse, car parking lot....

Currently, Tam Dao Xanh Tourism Development Cooperative has 3 main product lines: 20 liter bottled water, 300ml and 500ml bottles that have been granted certificates of meeting direct drinking water standards according to food hygiene and safety regulations of the Health sector.

With an attractive form, favored by consumers. Every day the facility produces more than 500 20 liter bottles and more than 1,000 500 ml plastic bottles. The facility has received contracts to regularly supply bottled water to Au Viet Tourism Company and Thien An Phu Tourism Company; Hoang Gia Hotel; Hoang Quy Hotel, and also supplies to dozens of agencies, schools in the province and Tam Dao Mountain tourist area and some tourism companies in Hanoi. Every day the facility consumes about 150 - 200 bottles of water, 20 - 25 boxes (24 bottles of 500 ml/box) and creates stable jobs for 4 workers with an income of 6 - 8 million VND/person/month.

In addition to her business, she is always interested in humanitarian charity movements. Every year, she has donated dozens of gifts to children in the district with especially difficult circumstances and many other charitable activities with a total gift value of tens of millions of VND. Currently, in her facility, there are more than 20 workers processing wigs for export with an income of 6 - 10 million VND/person/month.

With her achievements, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hue was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for "Outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh" and the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association awarded a Certificate of Merit for "Outstanding achievements in the Young Entrepreneurs movement of Vinh Phuc province".
