Loving homes
In her newly completed house, Mrs. Huynh Thi Nhan (95 years old, Cam Toai Trung village, Hoa Vang commune) is happy because from now on she no longer has to worry every time the rainy and stormy season comes.
She is a relative of martyr Nguyen Van Ngo, who died in May 1947 during the resistance war against the French. For many years, she has lived with her children and grandchildren in a dilapidated house.
Faced with that situation, the City Police Youth Union supported 80 million VND for her family to build a new solid house with a worship room, bedroom, kitchen, and toilet.
On August 13, the house was completed, bringing her great joy in her old age. In addition, the City Police also gave her a TV to watch the daily news.
“I truly appreciate the noble gesture of the City Police. Thanks to that, I have a spacious and warm place to live with my children and grandchildren in peace,” Ms. Nhan expressed.
According to the City Police Youth Union, implementing the direction of the City Police Director, the unit was assigned to preside over, urge and inspect the construction and repair of 40 houses for the people.
More than 1,300 union members and youths have contributed 3,000 working days to carry out the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the people.
In addition, the unit mobilized suppliers to reduce construction material prices, totaling 176 million VND.
In addition to supporting Ms. Nhan, the Youth Union also supported 10 million VND to buy materials for two other households; affiliated youth union organizations supported materials for 8 households with a total value of 50 million VND.
In particular, officers and soldiers of the city police also voluntarily contributed 2 days' salary to help eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the people.
Spread the love
Towards the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the City Public Security Youth Union continues to carry out many activities towards disadvantaged people in mountainous and border areas.

On July 11-12, the unit presented 40 bicycles to students with good academic performance in Phuoc Tra and Hiep Duc communes, worth 94 million VND; and 40 gifts to poor households, worth 8 million VND.
At the same time, 40 solar lights were installed on village roads in Tay Giang commune with a total value of 100 million VND, contributing to ensuring security and safety for people traveling at night.
On August 12, the city's police youth donated 723 units of blood to medical facilities to meet the needs of emergency and patient treatment. This is an annual activity demonstrating a sense of responsibility and willingness to share for the health of the community.
In order to ensure health and help children in mountainous areas have warm water for daily activities and study, the City Police Youth Union has implemented the youth project "Warm water in mountainous areas".
Accordingly, the unit has installed 3 T-sona hot water stove systems at Ngoc Le kindergarten (village 4, Tra Linh commune), Tak Cui (village 3, Tra Tap commune) and Mang Ay (village 5, Nam Tra My commune).
The above system utilizes excess heat during the cooking process to conduct it through a heat-resistant pipe system, leading it to a water tank and heating the water, helping teachers and students have warm water to use, especially in winter.
Vice Principal in charge of Anh Dao Kindergarten (Tra Tap Commune) Nguyen Thi Thu said that at Tak Cui school, there are 54 Xo Dang ethnic children studying, and previously their living conditions were very difficult due to lack of warm water, especially on cold and rainy days. Thanks to the new system, the children and teachers have much more convenience.
Currently, Anh Dao Kindergarten has 13 schools with 345 Xo Dang children studying. Most of the schools do not have hot water systems. Therefore, we hope that the City Police will continue to survey and support other schools.
Lieutenant Colonel Ho Dinh Tri, Deputy Head of the Youth Department of Da Nang City Police, said that the volunteer activities in recent times demonstrate the pioneering spirit and enthusiasm of the young police force, contributing to improving people's lives, especially in remote areas.
In the coming time, the unit will continue to pay attention to social security work, serve the community, promote the bravery and beautiful image of the People's Police in the hearts of the people.
