Summary of the movie "How much does youth cost" episode 16
At the beginning of episode 16, the clip of "the hero saves the beauty" between Nga and Linh spread throughout the school, making both Quan and Kien curious to find out what happened.
Nga recounted the incident when she saved Linh from a drunk man, while Linh affirmed: "Nga and I do not have the same relationship as in the clip." Hearing that, Quan and Kien both breathed a sigh of relief. Kien had to leave immediately because he had something to do, while Quan stayed and suddenly realized that Nga seemed familiar. "I think I've met you somewhere before. At the pottery shop, right?" - Quan asked, causing Nga and Linh to immediately deny it.
After working for a while at a fruit farm, Kien started to buy fruit from the garden himself to sell to stalls at the market. However, this made some people at the market unhappy, they thought Kien was competing for business and decided to collude to cheat him.
A stall owner offered to buy fruit in bulk and asked Kien to collect it himself. Kien had to buy the fruit from another collector, but knowing that he needed it urgently, the collector raised the price much higher than usual. With no other choice, Kien accepted.
Then, while following the tricycle carrying goods, the driver deliberately drove recklessly, causing Kien to fall onto the road, suffering scratches and crushed oranges. When it was time to deliver the goods, the stall owner refused to accept the goods on the grounds that the oranges were crushed, while Kien had no idea that he had been tricked by this group.
Kien was disappointed as he pulled a cart of crushed oranges that no one bought. Standing in the rain, he wanted to cry because of his failure in making a living in the city.
At the same time, Linh went to do an internship but was continuously assigned tasks that were not in her field of expertise, despite her best efforts. Finally, Linh decided to quit and also cried in the rain because of her grievances.
Back in his dorm room, Kien opened his notebook to record the amount of money he spent on the fruit business and looked at the little money left, he felt sad. These were just the first challenges on the journey of maturity for Kien, a poor student from the countryside to the city.
Nga continued to pursue her dream of producing videos , posting them on social media and asking Linh to help. However, Linh wanted to refuse because filming was ineffective. While the two were talking, Linh happened to see Kien limping in the dormitory yard, she hurried down to see what happened to her best friend.
Seeing Kien fall and get scratched, Linh couldn't help but feel sorry. She helped bandage Kien, reminding him of when he was in high school and Linh took care of him when he got scratched while playing soccer.
Kien unexpectedly received an email informing him that he had won a scholarship to study in the US, but he intended to decline it because he did not have enough money to cover the expenses. Currently, he still owes money for goods. "Right now, I just want to go to work to earn money and help my father, that's enough" - Kien confided to Linh. His best friend put her hand on Kien's shoulder to comfort him, making both of them feel emotional.
