The delegates carried out many meaningful activities on the first day of the journey. Specifically, they offered incense and flowers at the historical and cultural relics of Dong Loc crossroads and Ly Tu Trong memorial site; visited and presented gifts to 2 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, 2 war veterans, and 2 former Youth Volunteers; awarded scholarships to 50 disadvantaged students and provided financial support to 40 families affected by the recent floods; and exchanged experiences with the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union.


In Nghe An province, the delegation also offered incense and flowers at: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Memorial House, Nguyen Du Memorial Site, Quang Trung King Temple, Truong Bon Historical Relic Site, and visited Sen Village (paternal hometown) and Hoang Tru Village (maternal hometown) of President Ho Chi Minh .
The delegation also visited and presented gifts to 3 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, 2 war veterans, 2 former Youth Volunteers; awarded scholarships to 50 disadvantaged students and organized a cultural night "From Ben Nha Rong to Uncle Ho's Sen village" at the Kim Lien relic site, Nghe An province.


The journey to the source “From Nha Rong Wharf to Uncle Ho’s Sen Village” was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union with the participation of more than 114 delegates who are union members, youth, cadres of the grassroots union and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. The trip took place from May 27 to 29 in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

The journey to the source aims to help union members and young people express their deep gratitude and pride of Ho Chi Minh City's youth for President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause, while educating the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle for union officials, union members, and young people in the city.
