Remembering 64 Gac Ma soldiers on War Invalids and Martyrs Day

Khanh Hoa – On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, many delegations came to offer incense and flowers to commemorate the 64 heroic martyrs in the Gac Ma incident.

On July 27, at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area in Cam Lam District, many delegations of visitors from all over came to offer flowers and burn incense to commemorate the sacrifice of 64 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy in the Gac Ma incident.

Since its inauguration and official operation, the Gac Ma Memorial has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors to pay their respects to the heroic martyrs.

At the monument "Those who lie on the horizon", many groups of visitors stopped and offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs.

Arriving quite early, many members of the Association of Revolutionary Soldiers captured and imprisoned by the enemy in Cam Ranh City could not hide their emotion when burning incense to pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Gac Ma incident. Mr. Nguyen Ai (third from left) believes that the Fatherland will forever remember the sacrifices of the heroic martyrs for the sovereignty of the nation's sea and islands.

Tourist groups, including many children, visited the underground exhibition area - where meaningful artifacts left by Gac Ma martyrs for their families are kept.

The remaining relics of the Gac Ma martyrs are displayed in the memorial area and placed in solemn positions.

Coming to Gac Ma Memorial, many tourists are introduced to this place as a red address associated with the mark of the Trade Union organization in general and Khanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union in particular in coming up with ideas and building this project.
