Vietnam women's futsal team arrives in China, ready for Asian tournament

The Vietnamese women's futsal team has arrived in Inner Mongolia (China), ready for the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship Finals taking place here.

The Vietnamese women's futsal team arrived at Inner Mongolia airport (China) at 11:55 p.m. on May 1 (10:55 p.m. Vietnam time).

The team's journey was extended by 1 hour because the flight from Guangzhou (China) was delayed compared to the original schedule. Despite the long journey, thanks to careful preparation in advance, the health and spirit of the whole team remained stable.

Immediately after landing, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team quickly moved to Wanhao Hotel, about 10 minutes by bus from the airport.

The Vietnamese women's futsal team (ranked 11th in the world ) will practice today before an important friendly match with the Chinese women's futsal team (ranked 24th in the world) tomorrow night (May 3).

This is an opportunity for coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang to make a final assessment of the team's performance, lineup and tactics before participating in the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship Finals. And thereby aiming for a ticket to the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup in the Philippines at the end of the year.

"The Chinese women's futsal team has made great progress in recent times. They just beat Indonesia (ranked 17th in the world) 3-2 and lost 1-4 in the last two friendly matches.

We also met China twice last year. The friendly match will be a warm-up for the whole team before competing in the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship Finals," Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang shared.

Previously, the Vietnamese women's futsal team had a one-week training trip in Japan. The team won the Fugador Sumida Ladies women's futsal club 2-0 and lost 1-4 to the Japanese women's futsal team (ranked 10th in the world).

The 2025 Asian Women’s Futsal Championship will take place from May 7 to 18 in Inner Mongolia (China). The Vietnamese women’s futsal team is in Group B and will face Hong Kong (May 7), the Philippines (May 9) and Iran (May 11).

The top two teams from each group along with the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarter-finals.

The top three teams (champion, runner-up and third place) will qualify for the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup taking place later this year in the Philippines.
