Mr. Duong Ngoc Duc, Secretary of the Lung Cu Commune Party Committee, said that unfavorable weather and continuous heavy rain led to continued landslides, making the search for missing victims very difficult.
Currently, there are more than 100 people, including police, border guards, militia, and Lung Cu commune officials performing search and rescue work. Dong Van commune government, police, and military forces are also continuing to increase forces to help the commune with search and rescue.
